UNI Children’s Choir Concert
The UNI Children’s Choir is free and open to the public. We encourage guests to arrive early to get the best seat!

This spring’s concert will feature a special performance by the siblings in the group, guest student director Jacob Lesan, and I Had a Rooster, by Iowa composer Elaine Hagenberg.
New Horizons Band
The New Horizons concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the concert. Free will donation is appreciated.

Start the evening early with the UNI Brass ensemble Biscotti Brass, performing in the lobby prior to the concert. This spring’s concert will feature many favorites, including the Armed Forces Salute, the Trombone Rag, featuring the trombone section, a guest performance from the UNI Percussion ensemble, and soloist Travis Toliver, performing a Cole Porter medley.
Singing since the age of six, Travis Toliver has been an active musician throughout his life. Beginning as a boy soprano in the acclaimed Colorado Children’s Chorale to touring around the globe as a member of the World Youth Choir, Travis brings an exceptional amount of musical experience to the stage.
Travis attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and studied applied voice with Dr. Carol Kimball, singer and author. His operatic and musical theatre roles include: Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro, Papageno in Die Zauberflüte, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, Johnny Casino and Teen Angel in Grease, President Franklin D. Roosevelt in Annie, the Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance, and Lt. Brannigan in Guys and Dolls. Other opera credits include: Dido and Aeneas, Don Giovanni, Gianni Schicchi, La Catarina, The Medium, and The Mikado. Travis was as a chorus member with numerous symphony orchestras and under the baton of several acclaimed conductors around the world performing major works from Bach to Bernstein.
Travis currently serves as the Executive Director for the Waverly Chamber of Commerce & Main Street program and is happily married to his wife, Dr. Nicki Toliver, director and choral music educator at Wartburg College. Together, with their twin boys Carson and Tiegan, they enjoy living in Waverly, Iowa.
